Hello, my beautiful people hope you're all doing amazing. So you guys know how much I just love baking and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This transition has allowed me to make different choices and also allowing myself to indulge in life's pleasures. I have been trying to eliminate as much gluten and dairy from my diet as possible because they are known to be inflammatory agents in the body. So I did some research and found that almond flour is an incredible substitute for making cookies and an array of other recipes. This type of flour lacks the sugar content of standard flour, and it is low in cholesterol. It also helps people to have more control over the body's production of insulin and glucose. In particular, this flour contains high amounts of iron, riboflavin, potassium, and magnesium. It is also one of the most important sources of vitamin E since a single serving meeting all of your daily needs. Besides these valuable vitamins, the flour contains a high amount of monounsaturated fats that are very beneficial to general health. The way almond flour can improve energy levels is another sound reason for choosing it over standard wheat flour. The body extracts plain sugars from wheat flour, but in contrast, almond flour is full of healthy types of carbohydrates. With 5.2 grams of protein in a quarter cup, almond flour supplies the body with a welcome energy supplement. This protein also has an important muscle-building role. For my vegan friends, you can substitute the egg with a flaxseed egg if you really wanna keep it vegan friendly. Ok, now let’s talk about this week’s video, I've been wanting to do it for quite sometime now because I couldn't keep this all to myself. Being in the industry for a decade I've had so many of my clients deal with scalp issues and hair loss. I was born lucky because of my healthy ane, however, or day I never knew I would fall victim to theses effects too. My scalp has been through so much especially when my hair and scalp got burnt during a hair coloring process in April of 2019. Hello, my beautiful people!! It's been a while we haven't seen each other and I've missed you. Hope your all doing well, considering all these trying and uncertain times. Let me tell you, I've been trying to keep myself busy with different projects. In the meantime, you know how much I've struggled with my skin. Let me resume it for you; I've suffered from cystic acne since I was in my earlier 20's and went through so many ups and down with my skin, I was sooooo depressed and didn't know where to turn. After so many treatments including Accutane, fractional laser, PRP, microdermabrasion, radio frequency just to name a few... I was really happy to know that micro-needling was effective and not painful. With that being said I have always shared my journeys in my Instagram stories but this time I wanted to film myself because not only did I love the treatment and its results I also love the team. My microneedling technician is called Maria and I loved her approach and knowledge she always made me feel welcomed and at ease, we also laughed a lot 😆. Madonna is the boss lady in charge, but don't let that title fool you because she is also a super knowledgeable and humble woman. We shared so many conversations and realized we had so much in common. When I offered to film they were so happy because I told them how I love to share my experiences with my viewers and they also wanted to share their treatments with you. Here it is, this was my last microneedling session out of 3 that I had purchased, my skin is so much smoother and the appearance of my scars dramatically went down like a good 50-60%. Keep in mind everyone's results are completely different. This was my 900000000 treatment to helps diminish my deep cystic acne scars and each one helped in a different way. It's a journey, sometimes it was hard and now it's getting easier. Somedays I was so sad and down because I just wanted to have clear skin, and now I'm getting to enjoy this privilege in my 40's. My journey wasn't just the skin treatments but also skincare and what I've recently learned; nutrition. Everything we put in our bodies has an impacting effect, if we have a bit of inflammation and eat foods that increase that inflammation then we get more outbursts. So please listen to your body, it indicates and talks to us all the time, but nowadays we are addicted to being like "everyone" else that we have lost or are losing the ability to hear our OWN voice.
